Carl K Pulver, Sr

Albion - Carl Pulver,Sr., 91, of Albion, passed away late Friday Dec 8, 2017 at North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion.  He was born in Huntertown on September 10, 1926 to the late Carl T. and Beulah Bell (Garman) Pulver.

He lived most of his childhood and early adult life in the Leo area, but moved to Noble County in the 1950’s where he raised his family.  He was known as a very skilled welder and hard worker.  He took these skills with him to East Noble High School where he taught  Industrial Welding in the Industrial Arts Department for over 20 years.  He took pride in all the good welders that he turned out to local companies over the years.

He was a 50 year member of the F&AM 460 Masonic Lodge in Avilla.

Carl was the proud father of 8 children, all surviving:  Debora Herron (Randy) Masters of Fort Wayne, Brenda (Chuck) Listowski, of North Fort Myers, FL, Carl K. (Carol) Pulver of Albion, Cheryl Kelly of Cape Coral, FL, Marc (Lisa) Pulverof Albion , Sandra (Ron) Bortner of Huntington, Kitty (Jeff) Hall of Fostoria, OH, and Jessica Warren of Crescent City, FL.  Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, a great great grandaughter, brothers, George (Lela) Pulver,  Jerry (Vonda) Pulver, and Ray (Janice) Pulver, brother-in-law, Don Craig, his former wife, Barbara Pulver, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Herron, grandson, Brian Pulver, great grandson, Alex McBride, and sisters, Joann Craig, Velma (Jerry) Minnick.

Funeral Service is 11:00am Friday December 15, 2017 at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior.  Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate.  Visitation also from 4-8pm Thursday December 14, 2017 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Sweet Cemetery, rural Albion.  Memorials in Carl's name may be made to Avilla F&AM Masonic Lodge 460.  To sign leave a condolence or sign the online guest book, please visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com.
