William E Parris

WILLIAM E PARRIS, 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on July 16, 2025, at Parkview Randallia Hospital. He was born on April 18, 1932, in Caroleen, N o r t h Carolina, to Ruben and Eula (Blackwell) Parris. On March 12, 1955, in Warsaw, Missouri, he married Ula Drenon. William served his country for 20 years in the US Air Force. Following that, he was employed at BF Goodrich until his retirement in 1995. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, pool, and hunting and fishing. He was also a licensed pilot.

William is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ula Parris, of Fort Wayne; sons, David (Tina) Parris of Fort Wayne and Michael (Kay) Parris of Windsor, MO; daughters, Paula Creel of Fort Wayne and Cynthia (Jason Lawrance) Parris of St. Petersburg, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Celebration of William’s life will be 3:00pm on Sunday, July 20, 2023, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St., Avilla, IN. Visitation will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN.
