Steven M Graves

Steven Michael Graves, 57, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, after a long battle with brain cancer.  He was the son of Larry and Kathryn Graves of Avilla, IN.  He was a 1986 graduate of East Noble High School and continued his education at Purdue University earning a degree in Forestry in 1990.  Steven was retired from the Kentucky Forestry Department.  He enjoyed the great outdoors and fought forest fires in many states during his career as a forester.  The family is comforted knowing that Steve has entered into the presence of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  He will be greatly missed, but his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him. 

Steve is survived by his wife, Shelly Graves; daughter, Rebecca (Kealin) Dailey; son, Jacob (Kayla) Graves; and granddaughter, Maylee Graves.  Also surviving are siblings, Angela Graves, David (Lisa) Graves, and Michael (Jennifer) Graves; parents, Larry & Kathryn Graves; and nieces and nephews, Auburn (Paul) Jones, Morgan and Lauren Falconer, Aiden and Dax Graves, Emily and Owen Graves, and Samuel Jones. 

A service in honor of Steve's life will be held at a later date and the obituary will be updated at that time.
