Stephanie L Black

Stephanie L Black, 54, of Kendallville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 15, 2024, after a yearlong courageous battle against breast cancer. Stephanie was born on October 1, 1969, to Tony and Mary (Keister) Black, in Kendallville, Ind. Stephanie was known as a strong and positive woman to all that knew her. She loved her dog Kirby and her family and friends.

Stephanie is survived by her parents Tony and Mary, of Albion, Ind; sister Suann (Michael) Hoin, of Marco Island, Florida; nieces Rachael Goyette, of Charlotte, North Carolina, Nicole Hoin, of Houston, Texas, and Danielle Hoin, of Louisville, Kentucky; aunt Erlene Dekko, of Kendallville, Ind; uncle Brian (Val) Black, of Albion, Ind; close cousin Erica (Tim Kochanski) Dekko, of Kendallville, Ind; and her dog Kirby.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

Services for Stephanie will be held at 11:00am, Monday, August 19, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Visitation will be from 2:00pm-6:00pm, Sunday, August 18, 2024, at the funeral home. John Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Albion.
