Samuel A Gaff

LAOTTO — Samuel A. Gaff, 83, of LaOtto, Indiana, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024.  He was born on Nov. 17, 1940, in LaOtto, to Thurlo and Betty (Meyers) Gaff.  He was a lifetime resident of LaOtto and a graduate of Avilla High School. Sam loved to fish and hunt and trips to the casino. He was a 50-year member of the LaOtto Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from Dana Corporation in 1999.

On July 28, 1961, in Churubusco, Indiana, he married Sandra Stonestreet. She survives in LaOtto. Also surviving are children, James Griffis, of LaOtto, Amie (Patrick) Kumfer, of Pretty Lake, and Ross (Michele) Gaff, of LaOtto; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Louise (Herb) Rennecker.

Private graveside services will be held at Perry Township Cemetery near Huntertown.
