Robert "Bob" Shuherk

Robert “Bob” Shuherk, 96, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Auburn, Indiana. Bob was born on August 9, 1928, to William and LaVerge "Rachel" (McClellan) Shuherk, in Hicksville, Ohio.

Bob moved to Avilla in 1978, and he spent more than 20 years working for East Noble Schools. He enjoyed cooking, playing golf, and his Ford Mustangs. Bob loved being around people, but most of all his family. 

Surviving Bob are his children Robert (Mary) Shuherk, of Corunna, Indiana, Mike (Anne) Shuherk, of Auburn, Indiana, Michelle Shuherk, of St. Louis, Missouri, Bill (Sherri) Shuherk, of St Michaels, Minnesota, Emily (Jeff) Meck, of Delaware, Ohio, and Rachel (Tony) Lewellen, of Columbus Ohio; 17 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents William and Rachel, and his twin brother Richard Shuherk.

Visitation will be 10:00am to 12:00pm, Friday, June 20, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St, Avilla. Private funeral services will be held.
