Richard S Yanuszeski, 93, of Kendallville, Ind, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages, in Kendallville. He was born on September 15, 1930, to Vincent and Helen (Sikorski) Yanuszeski, in Garrett, Ind. On March 15, 1972, Richard married Virginia Whitford, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Richard graduated from St Joseph Catholic School. He served in the U.S. Navy, as an airplane mechanic, before he retired from Teneco Automotive in 2000. Richard was part of the Kendallville American Legion, Moose, Elks Lodge, VFW, and Honor Guard. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, traveling, jigsaw puzzles, and listening to music. Richard also enjoyed Notre Dame Football, Chicago Cubs, Colts Football, and all East Noble sports.
Surviving Richard are his step-son Stan (Sonya) Randol, of Fort Wayne; step-daughter Jolene (David) Robinson, of Ashley; grandchildren Anthony Robinson, Teresa Rogers, Cynthia Cimaomo, Tamara Flaherty, and Brian Brennan; great-grandchildren Ryan Cimaomo, Logan Cimaomo, Kendra Robinson, Wyatt Rogers, Kelli Brennan, and Kristi Tackett.
Preceding Richard in death are his parents Vincent and Helen; his wife Virgina; step-son Rick Randol; brothers Alexander, Edwin, and Valentine Yanuszeski; and sister Dolores Doolittle.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Hooper-King Cemetery, 672 S 900 E, Avilla, Ind. Father J. Steele will preside.
