Ray Paul Strawser

Ray Paul Strawser, 64, of LaOtto, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, in his home. He was born on May 27, 1961. On June 17, 1988, Ray married Kathy (Jordan) Owen, in West Unity, Ohio. Ray worked at Bralin Laser, in Auburn, Indiana.

Ray was a very kind and caring person, and he was known to be there for anyone that needed a hand. Ray enjoyed his martial arts training. He liked to go thrift shopping and to garage sales with his wife. Ray especially enjoyed being Grandpa Ray to his five grandchildren.  He loved family parties where he played board games and was a fierce competitor.

Surviving Ray are his wife, Kathy; stepson Matt Owen, of Kendallville; stepdaughters Jenni Walters, of Avilla, and Lisa (Heath Williams) Chambers, of Avilla; grandchildren Blake (Kathleen Robertson) Walters, Katelyn Walters, Owen Chambers, Tyler Owen, and Hailey Owen.

A family-led celebration of life will take place at a later date.
