Pauline Ross

Pauline Ross, 92, of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023. She was born on Nov. 1, 1930, in Brimfield, Indiana, to Paul Baker and Orpha Ackerman. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Donald Hoover. A lifetime area resident, Pauline married Robert Ross in Albion, on June 12, 1949.

Pauline enjoyed her word books, watching sports and putting puzzles together with her twin sister, Claudine King. She enjoyed her grandkids, great-grand kids, and great-great-grand-kids. She was a long-time member of Berean Baptist Church in Albion.  She worked at Cromwell Products for more than 20 years, and was a member of Albion American Legion Post #246 Auxiliary.

Survivors include daughters, Vicky (Johnny) Couch, of Albion, Mona (Michael) Winebrenner, of Hiawassee, Georgia, and Lisa (Gary) Smith, of Albion; son, Robert Ross, of Albion; sisters, Colleen Culbertson, of Churubusco and Betty Parker, of Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Sue Hoover, of Howe. Also surviving are grandchildren, Laurie (Chad) Reeve, of Nappanee, Brent (Sarah) Schlotterback, of Omaha, Nebraska, Michelle Winebrenner, of Churubusco, Melinda Willett, of Warsaw, Nathan (Jill) Smith, of Kenton, Ohio, and Ryan (Rose) Smith, of Albion. Surviving are many great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids; step-grandkids; and step-great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; twin sister, Claudine King; and stepbrother, Donald Hoover.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at Harper Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.

Funeral services will be following the visitation at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.  Pauline's grandson, Nathan Smith, will officiate.  Burial will be at Orange Township Cemetery, near Rome City, Indiana.
