Mary Stadtfeld, 85, of Albion, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Mary was born on May 5, 1938, in Albion, Indiana, to Charlie and Gertrude (Smith) Campbell. Mary married Ralph Stadtfeld on May 3, 1958, at St. Mary’s Church in Avilla, Indiana.
Mary was a member of the Noble County Extension Homemakers for over 50 years. She was an ice cream cake maker for the Auburn Dairy Queen, and baked wedding and graduation cakes for the families of the Albion area for nearly 40 years. Mary was a member of the Beta Chapter of the Sigma Eta Sorority. Mary and Ralph wintered in Texas starting in 1993, and she continued until 2021, after Ralphs passing in 2007.
Mary is survived by daughter Valerie (DeLane) Parker, of Albion; sons Eric (Cheryl) Stadtfeld, of Kendallville, and Harold (Cathy Gillis) Stadtfeld, of North Vernon; grandchildren DeLaneia “Dee”(Tad Flaugh) Parker, Jamie (Sherman) Howard, Ben (Melissa) Parker, Bryson Stadtfeld, Zachery Stadtfeld, Marissa (Louie) Arthur, Xavier Stadtfeld, Grace (Robbie) Madden, Caleb Stadtfeld, Talon Stadtfeld, Jonathan (Candy) Teders, and Koleton (Ashley) Teders; and 8 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph Stadtfeld in 2007; daughter Dawn Marriage in 2017; brothers Jimmy, Boyd, Harold, and Walt.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2290 N. State Road 9, Albion, Indiana. Fr J. Steele will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, Indiana.
Visitation will take place from 2-4 & 6-8pm, Monday, July 24, 2023, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with a Rosary service at 7pm.
Memorials are to Parkview Hospice or Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Albion, Indiana.
