Churubusco - Linda Kay Tuttle, 81, of Churubusco, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at her home. She was born on July 29, 1943, in Rushville, to Roy and Zelma (Tucker) Kennedy. Zelma passed while Linda was young, and she was raised by her father and stepmother, Sarah. She was a 1961 graduate of Arlington High School and worked as an X-Ray tech at Rush Memorial Hospital from 1961 to 1972, after receiving her certificate in radiology. She was a member of the Center Christian Church in Mays, Indiana. On August 24, 1969, in Arlington, Indiana, she married David C. Tuttle. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2007. Linda was a bus driver for North East Indiana Special Education Co-Op, retiring after 20 years of faithful service. She had many hobbies including gardening and flowers, watching sports especially IU and Notre Dame, and caring for her animals. She also loved hot air balloons. Of all the ways she spent her time, being with her kids and grandkids meant the world to her.
Linda is survived by a son, Michael Tuttle of Ft Wayne; daughter, Melissa (Kris) Bair of Churubusco; grandchildren, Kyle (Jenna) Bair of Churubusco, Marc (Alexis) Bair of Churubusco, and Brad (Kaleigh) Bair of Vacaville, CA. Also surviving is brother, Ron Cline of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Arlene Kennedy of Churubusco; niece, Tiffany (Jake) Bruner of Ft Wayne; nephew, Robert (Jamie) Tuttle of Ft Wayne; niece, Cari Mallett of Morristown, IN; and great niece, Hannah Mallett. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Roy Kennedy, mother, Zelma Kennedy, and stepmother, Sarah Kennedy.
Funeral service for Linda will be 11:00am, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, IN, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rick VanHorn will officiate. Visitation also from 2pm - 8pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the funeral home. Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.
