Kyle N Towers

Avilla - Kyle N. Towers, 64, of Avilla, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Oct 11, 2023.  He was born in Angola, Indiana on Jan 26, 1959 to Duane and Norma (Headley) Towers. He graduated from Ohio University with his Masters in Mechanical Engineering in 1981.  He was employed by several area firms, including Dana Corp, Kautex, and NISCO.  Most recently, he was an estimator with Kammerer Dynamics in Kendallville.

Kyle enjoyed working around the house and was always starting a new project. He loved to get out on the water with his kayak or canoe and take his custom built velomobile for rides around town. He also took pride in his vegetable garden and often donated excess crops to his neighbors and the local church.

He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Ritter and her fiancé Joseph Hodgkins, of Avilla.  Also surviving are his brothers, Lane (Cindy) Towers and Milan (Connie) Towers, both of Edon, Ohio, and a sister, Denise Crist of Edon, Ohio.

A funeral in Kyle's memory will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, Oct 18, 2023 at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St., Avilla, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be held from 2-6pm on Tuesday, Oct 17, 2023 at the funeral home.
