Kyle James Garrett

Kyle James Garrett, 37, of Albion, Ind, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024, in Churubusco, Ind. Kyle was born on April 5, 1987, to Lem Buettgen and Karen (Roberts) Garrett, in Kendallville, Ind. Kyle cherished his children and friends and family. He also enjoyed kayaking, motorcycles, and drawing.

Survivors include his children Melanie Garrett, of Fort Wayne, Jayce Garrett, of Fort Wayne, and Kyler Garrett, of Angola; his parents Lem and Karen; brothers Joe Buettgen, of Churubusco, Jeffrey Bivens, of Fort Wayne, Alex Garrett, of Fort Wayne, and Kayden Nicodemus, of LaOtto; sisters Marjie (Matt) Ellis, of Angola, Jessica (Seth) Swartz, of Waterloo, Elizabeth Bivens, of Fort Wayne, Dot (Mitch) Diehl, of Fort Wayne, Cayla Garrett, of Fort Wayne, Amber (Chris) Blaine, of Fort Wayne, Lindsay Pasztor, of Avilla, and Kiersten Nicodemus, of LaOtto; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Kyle in death are grandmothers Florence Tuggle and Effie Mae Aistrop; Uncle Steven Price; and Aunt Geneva Richards.

Services will be 4:00pm, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St, Avilla. Pastor Ralph Diehl, of New Hope Christan Center, will preside. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Swan Cemetery, LaOtto, Indiana.
