Kelvin J Shepherd

Kelvin J Shepherd, 58, of Wawaka, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Kelvin was born on February 11, 1966, in Mc Dowell, Kentucky, to Hershel and Marcella (Kilburn) Shepherd. He graduated from David High School, in Kentucky.

Kelvin was known as an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, and often would catch live animals with his bare hands.

Surviving Kelvin in death are his fiancé Angel Keene, of Wawaka; brother Bobby (Arizelia) Shepherd, of Hudson; grandchildren Tank Tarlton, and Remington Evard; and long-time best friend Mark Keene, of Cornettsville, Kentucky.

Preceding Kelvin in death are his daughter Catherine Shepherd, brothers Tim Shepherd, and William “David” Shepherd, and his parents.

Funeral service is 1:00pm, Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Rev Purda Hicks will officiate. Visitation will be 11:00am to 1:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Kelvin will be laid to rest at Orange Cemetery, near Rome City, at a later date.
