Karen L Spencer

Albion – Karen L. Spencer, 74, of Albion, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Kendallville Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on June 20, 1952, to Franklin Jr. and Imo Jean (DeLong) Wilson.  Karen was a lifetime area resident, retiring from Silgan Plastics after over 3 decades of service.  In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, crossword puzzles, cooking, and watching her favorite TV program, Walker, Texas Ranger.  On September 7, 1972, she married David Spencer.  He preceded her in death on May 2, 1994. 

Survivors include sons, Marc (Beth) Spencer of Kimmell and Matt (Amber) Spencer of Albion, daughter, Michelle (Will) Anderson of Albion, and sister, Pam (Nick) Cardinal of Albion.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Ethan, Harrison, Bella, Tyson, and Phoebe Spencer, Melissa Carter, Shelby Dean, Jeffery and Vanessa Edsall and great grandchildren, Charlotte and Jax Dean. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin Jr. and Imo Jean Wilson; husband, David Spencer; infant sons, Keith & Kevin Berkes; daughter, Sheila Butler; siblings, Jim Wilson and Deb Meyer, and nephew, Tim Ransburg. 

Funeral service will be 6:00pm, Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Road, Albion, with visitation from 4pm until 6pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  A committal service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Rehoboth Cemetery, located at 125 N and 275 E, Albion, IN.
