Joseph Manier Obituary

Rome City - Joseph A. Manier, 75, of Rome City, formerly of Ft. Wayne, passed away on Friday May 25, 2018 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born on Feb 8, 1943 in Ft. Wayne to the late Ralph and Opal (Myers) Manier. He served in the US Air Force during Vietnam and later retired from public relations with the Indiana Air National Guard after 28 years of service. In Nov of 1991, he married his wife Susan, who survives. Mr. Manier was also the owner of Allen County Fasteners, INC for over 10 years. Recently, he was a founding member of Advance Rome City (A.R.C.), and was named Rome City Citizen of the Year. According to Joe's wishes, there will be no local services. He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors. Memorials in his memory may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne, or Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
