John L Day, 78, of Upper Long Lake, Albion, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in his home, surround by his loved ones. John was born on May 31, 1948, to Charles Day and Maggie (Arnold) Sexton, in Kokomo, Indiana. On February 19, 1977, John married Susan Brigham, in Frankfort, Indiana.
John proudly served his county in the United States Army. After his service he was known to be a hard dedicated worker at BF Goodrich. John enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his dogs. He collected coins, and enjoyed watching Naked and Afraid and bare-knuckle boxing, and retiring to the lake.
Surviving John are his wife Susan; sons Charles Day of Cincinnati, Ohio, Christopher (Ashley) Day, of Van Wert, Ohio, Jeremy Day, of Van Wert, Ohio, and Jason (Marilyn) Dickmeyer, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughters Shannon (Andy) Duff, of Columbia City, Indiana and Heather (Stan) Keller, of Roanoke, Indiana; brother Jim (Deanna) Day, of Frankfort, Indiana; sisters Judy (Ronald) Newbold, of Kokomo, Indiana and Teresa (Bodine) Norris, of Frankfort, Indiana; step-sisters Alberta (Stewart) Glassey, of Hicksville, Ohio and Sherry Davis, of Hicksville, Ohio; grandchildren Fenix Day, Chase Day, Bailey Day, Hunter Day, Hannah Day, Haley Day, Stanley Keller III, Cole Keller, Corynn Keller, Jackson Keller, Samantha Carrol, Brendan Duff , Johnathan Day, Amanda Keller, Casey Franz, Leah Sanderson, and Lily Day; and great-grandchildren Olivia, Summit, Eli, Emlynn, Baylor, Connor, Jaxton, Everlynn, Jay Allen, Wren, Jenson, and one on the way.
John is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Maggie, brother Joseph Day, and son John Day.
