Joan E Hardy

Joan E. Hardy, 82, of Avilla, passed away on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.  She was born on March 13, 1936 in Presque Isle, Maine, to the late Stanley and Velma (Dee) Bonville.  She married Roger Hardy, who preceded her in death in 2006.  Joan was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Avilla and Country Friends with the Noble County Extension Office.  She loved to read and was very artistic, enjoying needle point, cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and painting.  Joan is survived by granddaughters, Joanie Hardy and Courtney Hardy, grandsons, Brett Miller and Michael Hardy, brothers, David (Sheila) Bonville, and Gary Bonville, and sisters, Linda (Jim) Krysiak, and Mary Seely.  Also surviving are great grandchildren, Ellenore Tillotson, Liam Tillotson, Solomon Roth, and Alivia Hardy.  She was preceded also preceded in death by her daughters, Susan Collins and Michele Hardy, and a brother, Fred.  Funeral service will be 12:00pm on Monday July 30, 2018 at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St, Avilla, with visitation from 10:00am until service time.  Pastor Shalimar Holderly officiating.  Burial will be at Hooper King Cemetery, Avilla.  Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County.  To leave online condolences, visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com.
