James Huckins

Avilla - James Daniel "Dan" Huckins, 59, of Avilla, passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.  Dan was born on December 16, 1961 in Middletown, Ohio to Donald and Barbara (Gross) Huckins.  He enjoyed fishing and working on countless jig saw puzzles, and visiting with the staff at Lasus Handy Dandy in Avilla.  He is survived by his daughters, Heather (Austin) Jones and Eryka Redden, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, sister, Maggie (Jay) Cheshier of Kendallville, brother, Dave (Judy) Huckins, and grandchildren, Camdyn Redden, Jayden Redden, Kyrie Jones, and Camiyah Jones.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Steven Huckins, and a niece, Lindsay Huckins.

Burial will take place at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.
