Everett Troyer Obituary

Everett Eugene "ET" Troyer, 81, of Albion, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2020.  He was born on March 9, 1939, on the family farm in Green Township, Noble County, to Allen and Ruth (Leitch) Troyer.  He spent his entire life in Noble county.

On July 2, 1960, he married Patricia "Pat" Duke at the Albion Wesleyan Church. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before her passing on September 14, 2013.

Everett served in the Air National Guard and the Volunteer Fire Department at International Harvester where he was employed for 26 years as a maintenance electrician. He had a passion for people and spent the remainder of his life working and volunteering for several employers and organizations, including several years with the Central Noble Schools and Central Noble Food Pantry. He also served in many capacities (including jail ministry) at the Albion Wesleyan Church, where he was a lifetime member.  He enjoyed many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and wildlife.

He leaves behind his daughters, Pam (Larry) Ellet of Howe, and Sonya (Greg) Ward of McCordsville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Ross (Sara) Ellet, Justine (J.) Wise, Jordan (Roxanne) Ellet, and Declan and Lucy Ward; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother Harold (Joan) Troyer; a sister Linda (Bob) Allman; and a large extended family. He was proceeded in death by his parents Allen and Ruth Troyer and his wife Pat.

Due to ongoing restrictions of public gatherings, services will be private. A public celebration of life will be held at a future date to be announced. He will be buried beside his wife at Sweet Church Cemetery.
