Eric Michael Baker

ERIC MICHAEL BAKER, 45, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born on April 23, 1976 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Michael and Connie Sue (Combs) Baker of Avilla, who survive. 

Eric graduated from New Haven High School in 1995 and worked at D&W Fine Pack for 11 years. He loved being outdoors - fishing, camping, and sitting around the bonfire. He also enjoyed watching football. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids. On Jan. 21, 2012, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, he married Sarah Matty.  She survives in Fort Wayne.

Also surviving are his sons, Lucas and Lincoln; brother, Marc (Kristi) Baker, of Leo; sister, Christina Baker of Fort Wayne; and in-laws, Jean and John Matty of Evart, Mich. He was preceded in death by a brother, Todd Baker, in 2009; maternal grandparents, Dale and Betty Combs; and paternal grandparents, Ruth (Lyman) Grate and Howard Baker.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 228 N Main St., Avilla.
