Elberetta Gevella (Williams) Souther

Elberetta Gevella Souther, 78, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Kendallville, Indiana. She was born on July 2, 1946, to Elbert and Annetta (Jefferies) Williams, in Richmond, Indiana. On August 24, 1964, Elberetta married John Souther, at The Central Methodist Church, in Richmond, Indiana.

Elberetta was a very creative person. She was a seamstress, a quilter, and a welder. She designed and made clothing for her children. Most of all Elberetta loved her family.

Surviving Elberetta are her husband, John; daughters Gevella Wilt, of West Elkton, Ohio, and Ali (Bryan) Souther- Hutchinson, of Corpus Cristi, Texas; brother Lyle Williams, of Florida; sister Heather (Don) Heeter, of Indiana; grandchildren Taylar (Chelsea) Souther, Dwight Wilt, Kylee Hutchinson, Liam Hutchinson, and Connor Hutchinson.

Preceding Elberetta in death are her parents Elbert and Annetta, brother Scott Williams, and sister Ramona Jones.
