Albion - Duane A. Dreibelbis, age 82, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on December 24, 1943, to Dale and Elizabeth (Trittipo) Dreibelbis. A lifelong resident of Albion, Duane was a graduate of Albion-Jefferson High School and remained connected to the community throughout his life.
On August 29, 1964, Duane was united in marriage to Karen A. Norris at Asbury United Methodist Church in Albion. Together they shared nearly forty years of marriage until her passing in June of 2004.
Duane dedicated 39 years of service to Dana Corporation, retiring in 2005. He found joy in simple pleasures—taking long walks, appreciating automobiles, attending Central Noble athletic events, and most of all, spending time with his family, whom he treasured deeply.
Surviving is a daughter, Karman Cornwell, of Albion; a son Kevin (Kelly) Dreibelbis, of Albion; four grandchildren: Kaleigh (Ryan) Davis, Kendra Cornwell, Aidan Dreibelbis and Connor Dreibelbis; great-grandchildren: Claire, Trace, and Landen; and a brother, Dale Dreibelbis of Warren MI.
Funeral service is 11:00am, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Harper Funeral Homes, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate. Visitation also from 3:00pm – 7:00pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the funeral home. Duane will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.
Memorial donations in Duane’s memory may be directed to Central Noble Athletics or IU Health Foundation - Kidney Transplant Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
