Albion – Douglas E. Wilson, 63, of Albion, passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. He was born on January 7, 1963, in Kendallville, to Vern “PeeWee” and Linda Lou (Rosenogle) Wilson. Doug was a 1982 graduate of Central Noble and served his country honorably in the US Navy.
He was a machine operator and fabricator for several factories and had most recently worked at Colwell General in Kendallville. He was always tinkering or building something, loved the outdoors, enjoyed music, and liked to fish. Doug married Deborah “Debbie” Smolek. She preceded him in death on Jan 18, 2022.
Survivors include sons, Sean (Faith) Davies of Kendallville, Spencer Wilson and Seth Wilson, both of Albion; and grandchildren, Chance Davies, Shannon Davies, and Zayden Wilson. Also surviving are brothers, Terry (Holly) Wilson of Ft. Wayne and Todd (Marsha) Wilson of Wolf Lake; sister, Arlinda (Steve) Barclay of Flippin, Arkansas; and stepmother, Patricia Wilson. In addition to his wife, Doug was preceded in death by his parents, PeeWee and Linda Lou Wilson.
A graveside service will be held at a future date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.
