Donna Osbun Obituary

Kendallville – Donna Jean Osbun, 87, of Kendallville, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne.  She was born on May 13, 1938 in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to George and Mary Ellen (O’Neal) Coy.  She was a graduate of Rome City High School.  On July 28, 1956, at Wayne Center United Methodist Church, she married Lauren Osbun.

Donna was a homemaker her entire life and enjoyed baking and preparing Sunday dinners for her family.  She had many joys in life, including traveling with her family on camping and fishing trips to Michigan and Tennessee.  Donna and her husband Lauren made wood working crafts together and traveled to craft shows for 26 years.  Being raised on a farm, Donna loved gardening and canning.  Perhaps her greatest joy was spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Lauren Osbun of Kendallville; sons, William (Sheila Wilson) Osbun of Kendallville and Terri (Audra) Osbun of Kendallville; daughter, Sherry (John) Kemerly of LaOtto; grandchildren, Matthew (Megan Hickman) Kemerly, Jessica (Barry McCann) Kemerly, Andrew Osbun, Austin (Kristin) Osbun, and Fischer Osbun; great grandchild, Zairan Campos; and her furry companions, her dog Rusty and cat Molly.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by son, Brian Osbun; parents, George and Mary Coy; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Dolores Coy; and 2 nieces.

Private funeral services will be held.  Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Kendallville.

Contributions in Donna’s memory may be directed to Inventa Center for Cancer Research at FWMOH or Blood Cancer United (formerly Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).
