Albion - Dolores Ann Coy, 88, of Albion, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024,at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. She was born on December 1, 1935, in Green Township, Noble County, to Russell and Lenna (Herendeen) Leitch. Dolores graduated from Albion Jefferson High School and on November 5, 1954, she married Robert "Bob" Coy. She retired in 1991 after a long career as a cafeteria cook with Central Noble School Corporation. In her free time, Dolores loved to quilt and belonged to a quilting club. After her retirement, she provided many elderly friends and neighbors with in-home care. She was also a long-time member of the Albion Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include daughter, Diane (Randy) Slone of Kendallville; son, Paul (Linda) Coy of Albion; and grandchildren, Joey (Curt) Fenker, Jenny (Johnny) Mays, Hilary (Chet) Skiles, Seth (Tonya) Slone, David (Christina) Altimus, Keesha (Crick) Reed, Dusty (Eric) Pischke-Alderfer, and Jennifer (Bobby) Herrick. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Madelynn Mays, Maddox Mays, Logan Skiles, Blake Skiles, Ethan Reed, Matthew Reed, Madison Reed, Mychael Shidler, Aaron Herrick, Raylee Herrick, and Abigail Pischke; and sister, Kathleen Clouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Coy; daughter, Linda Pischke; sisters, Edna Budd, LaVon Cleland, and Marceil Clouse; and brothers, Carroll Leitch, Gene Leitch, Dwight Leitch, and Larry Leitch.
Funeral service will be 11:00am, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Albion Wesleyan Church, 800 E Main St., Albion, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Sam Maddox Jr will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion. Visitation also from 3-7pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Harper Funeral Homes, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.
