Diane Myers, 76, of Wolcottville, Indiana, formerly of Albion, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. She was born on Sept 21, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Eldor and Katherine (Crater) Petrie. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne. Diane retired from Dometic in LaGrange after 32 years of service. On Jan 12, 1966, she married Ron Myers. He preceded her in death on Nov 9, 2013. Diane had many interests to keep her busy, including spending time with her family, camping, singing and dancing and crocheting. She was known for being quick witted — or as some would say, sarcastic.
She is survived by a son, James (Geri) Myers, of Stryker, Ohio; daughter, Kenna (Derek) Jordan, of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Derek Jordan Jr., Ashley Naibauer, Ashley Lash, Kiana Cox, Amber Gilbert, Shyann Jordan, Shantel Miller, Nathan Myers and Brandon Myers; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Richard (Roberta) Petrie, of Albion; and sisters, Marie (Jeff) Becker, of Fort Wayne, Karen Hayes, of Auburn and Barbara Winkleblack, of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and several siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also be held from 4-7 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery.
