David L. Gossett, 62, of Albion, Indiana, passed away at home on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.
David was born on July 28, 1961, in Carbondale, Illinois, to Samuel and Donna (Blaylock) Gossett.
He married Mary Argetsinger, on March 28, 1981, in Winterset, Iowa.
David retired in 2022, from Yellow Corporation, formerly Holland Trucking. He enjoyed fishing and working at the gun store with his son. David was a reserve officer with the Noble County Sheriff Department, where he was a member of the Honor Guard. He also served as a reserve officer with the Rome City Marshal's Office.
David is survived by his wife, Mary Gossett; mother, Donna Gossett; sons, Benjamin Gossett, of Albion, Michael Gossett, of Albion and Brad Gossett, of Fort Wayne; daughter, Megan Sapp, of Butler; and brothers, Bryan (Dawn) Gossett, of LaOtto, and Jason (Angela) Gossett, of Wake Forest, North Carolina. Also surviving are grandchildren, Devon Weber and James Sapp; and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials in memory of David, may be made to Noble County Conservation Club.
