Catherine I Shepherd

Brimfield – Catherine I. Shepherd, 33, of Brimfield, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital, in Fort Wayne, surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 5, 1990, in Kendallville.  She was raised by her father, Kelvin Shepherd and stepmother, Ruby Shepherd.  Catherine enjoyed being outdoors, including hunting and fishing.  She also liked to knit.  Her greatest love was spending time with her two boys.

She leaves behind, her sons, Tank A. Tarlton of Wolcottville and Remington D. Evard of Rome City; her fiancé, Travis George, of North Webster; father and soon to be stepmother (and best friend) Kelvin Shepherd and Angel Yoder of Wawaka; mother, Pamela (Skaggs) Shepherd of Ft. Wayne; brothers, Denver Skaggs, Randy (Alisan) Goggans, and Dillon (Chrissy) Hopkins; sisters, Jessica Slone, and Emily Skaggs; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by stepmother, Ruby Shepherd; grandparents, Marcella Shepherd, Irena Skaggs, and Hershel Shepherd

Funeral service is 1pm, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.  Rev Purda Hicks will officiate.  Visitation is from 11am to 1pm on Saturday at the funeral home.  Catherine will be laid to rest at Orange Cemetery, near Rome City, at a later date.  To sign the online guestbook or leave a condolence, visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com .
