AVILLA — Cain Stone Quarry, 27, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025. He was born in Kendallville on Oct. 24, 1997. Cain was a Central Noble graduate and had been employed with Hendrickson in Kendallville.
Cain had many hobbies and interests over the years, including playing football and baseball, fishing, baling hay with his grandparents, and riding 4-wheelers. He also played video games and collected Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.
Cain enjoyed spending time with his family — was a loving and devoted husband, an amazing big brother, and loving son and grandson. Of all his loves in life, he was most proud of being a father to his boys.
On July 13, 2021, in Avilla, he married Raven Murphy. She survives in Avilla.
Also surviving are his sons, Caden and Oliver; mother, Debby (Scott Beres) Quarry, of Albion; sister, Amber (Tony Koluder) Quarry, of Ligonier; grandparents, Penny and David James, of Albion and Sheryl Quarry, of Rome City; and best friend, Max Marshall, of Albion. Also surviving are father-in-law, Don and Amy Murphy, of Columbia City; brother-in-law, Devin and Karissa Heath, of Garrett; and grandparents-in-law, Larry and Cindy Minks, of Avilla and Donna Tracy, of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Marcia Schomaker; grandfather, Victor Chaney; mother-in-law, Dorinda Carmichael; and father-in-law, Danny Carmichael.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes – Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Pastor Bret Frymier will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-7 p.m., on Thursday, at the funeral home.
