Austin Lee Burns

Austin L. Burns age 34 of Ft. Wayne, IN and formerly of Avilla, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was born July 28, 1988, in Ft. Wayne, to Michael and Karol A. (Hammond) Treace Jr.

Austin married Ashley Marie (Sterling) on May 23, 2009, in Kendallville.

He worked as a security guard with CSC – Ft. Wayne, IN

Austin was an Army National Guard veteran, was a member of the V.F. W. 2749 – Kendallville, and the Kendallville Eagles.

Survivors include his mother: Karol (Michael Jr.) Treace, Avilla, IN; wife: Ashley Marie Burns, Kendallville, IN; girlfriend: Jaime Steller, Ft. Wayne, IN; son: Jaidin Burns, Kendallville, IN; daughters: Morgan Burns, Ft. Wayne, IN; Madison Butler, Avilla, IN; brother: Charles Wuest, Avilla, IN; sister: Shawnna Burns, Avilla, IN

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Harper Funeral Home – Avilla Chapel., 530 N. Main St., Avilla, IN

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Harper Funeral Home

Military graveside honors will take place at Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN
