Ann H. (Butler) Boggs, 93, of Albion, passed away with her family at her side on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Sacred Heart Village Nursing Home in Avilla.
She was born on April 16, 1932, in Kendallville to Fred and Edith (Herron) Butler. She was a 1950 graduate of Albion Jefferson High School. On Feb 16, 1951, in Albion, she married Lee Boggs. Ann worked for the county government serving the citizens of Noble County for 35 years at the Clerk’s office, Auditor’s office, and the Treasurer’s office. She also enjoyed her church family at Asbury United Church in Albion where she belonged to the Rebecca Circle. She also was a member Eastern Star Prentiss Chapter, and served on the Jefferson Township Trustee Board. In her free time she enjoyed reading and decorating for the holidays.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Debra (John) Gibson of Fort Wayne and LeAnn (Jeff) Perry of Albion; son Michael (Cindy) Boggs of Churubusco; son-in-law Dan Stump of Wolf Lake; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Boggs; parents Fred and Edith Butler; daughters Melinda A. Stump and Darcy A. Boggs; grandson, Jared Boggs; and great-grandson, Jack Garton.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Ann’s grandson, Joel Usina, will officiate the service. Visitation will also be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
