Angela A Ambler

Angela A. Ambler, 64, of Avilla, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Sacred Heart Village in Avilla, IN. Christina Angela “Angie” Ambler was her given name, being born to George Ambler and Lillian McCabe Ambler, in South Bend Indiana on June 16, 1960. 

Angie lived in South Bend for most of her life, and after finishing school, she worked at Logan Industries. Angie’s faith in God was very important to her. She was a devout Catholic and was very active in her church.  Angie loved music and loved to sing. For over 40 years, she sang in the music group for the 9:30 mass at Little Flower Catholic Church.  Angie had a great life and never met a stranger. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Angie loved watching old sitcoms on TV and coloring (rendering).

She was an avid Notre Dame fan and kept her own record of the football scores and statistics, never admitting when they lost a game. She loved watching Soap Operas, especially General Hospital. Angie paid close attention to Presidential campaigns and had very strong political opinions. She took great pride in voting during elections. She loved all animals, especially her cats. Angie loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with her parents within and outside the United States. When her parents passed away, she went to live with her sister in Auburn Indiana. She then moved to a group home and eventually moved to Sacred Heart Village in Avilla, IN.

She is survived by her sister Mary (Scott) Burton of Fortville, IN; niece, Christi (Loring) Jackson, of McCordsville, IN; nephew, Nick (Carolyn) Burton of Alexandria, VA; and two great nieces, Leah Jackson and Nora Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ambler and Lillian McCabe Ambler.

A memorial mass will be 11:00am, Saturday, June 28, 2025, at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Rd., South Bend, IN 46635 with family and friends gathering one hour prior to mass.  Burial will follow mass at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Road, Grainger, IN 46530.
