Toni M (Martin) Smith

ALBION — Toni Marisa Smith, 61, of Albion, passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at her home with her longtime companion and soul mate, Terry Bradner, by her side.

She was born on March 11, 1957, in Fort Wayne to Charles "Jan" and Judith (Simmons) Martin. Prior to her illness, she worked for the LaGrange School Corporation as a state data reporter and webmaster. In her free time, she loved spending time somewhere tropical, especially on a beach. She also enjoyed visiting with family and reading.

She leaves behind her companion of 21 years, Terry Bradner; sons, Dustin Smith and Austin Smith, both of Fort Wayne, and Dylan Smith of Columbia City; daughters, Angie Owsley of Topeka, Nichole Emmert of Albion, and Racheal Buckner of Frontier, Michigan. Also surviving is her mother, Judith; brother, Christian Martin of Seattle, Washington; and sister, Jana Martin of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles "Jan" Martin.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Dan Carlson will officiate. Visitation will also be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Orange Township Cemetery, Rome City.
