Karen J Beberstein

Avilla - Karen J. Beberstein, 73, of Avilla, passed away on Tuesday December 24, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Ft. Wayne on November 28, 1946 to Howard A. and Theda J. (Laramore) Jones.  She graduated from New Haven High School and later from IPFW with an honors degree in Accounting Technology.  She had been a member of St. James Lutheran Church in New Haven, and recently attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Avilla.  Survivors include her son, Brent (Jen) Beberstein of Palmdale, CA, daughters, Kimberly (Tim) Murphy of Kendallville, and Katrina (Alex) Oakley of Howe, grandchildren, Corinna Koerner, Joel Smith, April Smith, Desiree Music, Nathan Beberstein, Jeffery Beberstein, Ashley Kowalczyk, Cory Oakley, Kevin Murphy, Tyler Murphy, and Lindsey Murphy.  Also surviving are great grandchildren, Hazel, Kitty, Beka, Aly, Alex, Joel Jr., Christah, Ezeriah, Lily, Aurora, Isaiah, Melody, and Ember; brother, Wesley (Laura) Jones of Ft. Wayne; and sister, Catherine Simmons of Ft. Wayne.  Memorial service will be 6:00pm Monday December 30, 2019 at Harper Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 N Main St, Avilla.  Rev Patrick Kuhlman will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4-6pm Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in New Haven.  Contributions in Karen's memory may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.  To sign the guestbook or leave a condolence, visit http://www.harperfuneralhomes.com
