June Diehm

Kendallville - June Diehm, 96, of Kendallville, passed away on Thursday Feb 1, 2018 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville.  She was born in Avilla on June 8, 1921 to the late Elmer and Edna (Wolf) Diehm.  Early in life, June worked on the family farm until her father passed away in 1965.  In 1968, she and her mother moved to Avilla and June started working at Lutheran Homes as a housekeeper.  She retired in 1999 from Shepherd of the Hill after 31 years of service.  She leaves behind nephews and nieces, Keith (Jean) Wimer of Avilla, Glenn Weimer of Avilla, Larry Beltz of Palm Bay, FL, Jerry (Connie) Beltz of Napoleon, Ohio, Gary Beltz of St. Mary's, Ohio, Carolyn (Lowell) Rauh of Avilla, and Sharon (Rick) Aldrich of Albion.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Weimer and Mildred Beltz.  Funeral Service will be 11:00am Monday February 5, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 113 W Albion St., Avilla.  Pastor Patrick Kuhlman will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9am until time of service Monday at the Church.  Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Avilla.  Memorial contributions in June's name may be directed to Lutheran Life Villages or Immanuel Lutheran Church.  To sign the online register book or leave a condolence, visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com
