Bonnie J Summe

Albion - Bonnie J. Summe, 87, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday Feb 20, 2019 at Parkview Noble Hospital.  She was born on Oct 7, 1931 in Kosciusko County to the late Jackson and Pauline (Personette) Adams.  She married Robert "Bob" Summe on November 11, 1950.  He preceded her in death in 1977.  Bonnie served the citizens of Noble County as an elected official for 24 years; 16 years as Treasurer of Noble County from 1981-1988 and again from 1997-2004, and 8 years as Noble County Clerk of the Circuit Court from 1989-1996.  She also worked with the Noble County Sheriff Department for several years.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion and a member of the Order of the Easter Star Prentiss Chapter.  Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Jackie and Butch Knafel of Albion, grandchildren, Tonya and Jerry Jones, Tammy and Dave Bremer, Tony and Lesley Knafel and Todd and Missy Knafel, and 11 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers, Raymond Adams and Jim (Margaret) Adams both of Akron, IN.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Adams.  Funeral service is 11:00am Monday Feb 25, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 N Orange St, Albion, with visitation one hour prior.  Visitation also from 2-6pm  Sunday Feb 24, 2019 at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.  Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.  Contributions in Bonnie's memory may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church.  To sign the online guest book or leave a condolence, visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com
