June M. Jacob

Albion – June M. Jacob, 93, of Albion, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville following a short illness.  She was born on August 1, 1923 in Albion to the late Carl and Eva (Coe) Ravenscroft.  A lifetime area resident, June married Albert E. Jacob on August 20, 1944 in Albion.  He preceded her in death in 1986.  She was employed at Lyall Electric for nearly 20 years before retiring.  Throughout her life, June found many hobbies she enjoyed, including reading, tending to her gardens and flowers, and traveling.  June always had a special place in her heart for her pets over the years.  She was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan and delighted with their recent World Series win.  She always made time for her family and her grandkids and cherished the time spent with them.  She is survived by a son, Phillip (Cindy) Jacob, daughters, Carole J. Huff, and Diane E. King, all of Albion, grandchildren, Danielle Zumbrun, Nichelle Pulver, Chad Jacob, Brad Jacob, Shawn Jacob, Brandon King, and Corey King.  Also surviving are 16 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and several cousins.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Ravenscroft, and her sister, Bonnie Kline.  In keeping with June’s wishes, there will be no services or visitation.  Burial next to her husband will take place at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion.  Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in her memory.  Arrangements by Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion.  To leave online condolences, visit www.harperfuneralhomes.com
